Here's my question? What was the downside of hearing Bolton under oath? What was the downside of getting the testimony of Pompeo, Perry, Mulvaney, or Pence regarding the Ukraine? What was the downside of getting the testimony of McGahn?

While I appreciate your sudden epiphany, why are you suddenly dictating the timeline? You were on the wrong side of history for 2 years ... what makes you think there isn't upside of doing it now ... especially a sociopath who is capable of anything in a short period of time. What makes you think what's good for the country after your judgement for the last 2 years?
